Rodney Clawson

Rodney Clawson was born country, farming corn and wheat with his father on the family farm in Gruver, Texas. Trading the tractor for the pen, Rodney now makes his living as a songwriter in Nashville.

Rodney has several of his penned songs on Billboard’s Country Chart — Drunk on You (Luke Bryan) is in the #2 spot, while Drink on It (Blake Shelton) recently went to #1. Where I Come From (Montgomery Gentry) hit #8 and Feel Like a Rock Star (Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw) went to #11 earlier this summer.

So what does Rodney do when he’s not writing the next big hit? He hits the Bass Angler Tournament trail in his Big Green Egg-wrapped boat, and then relaxes with some of his favorite recipes cooked on the Big Green Egg.
