Dizzy Pig Celebrates Grand Opening

Dizzy Pig Barbecue Company, maker of brightly flavored and perfectly balanced seasonings for meat, fish and more, is celebrating the grand opening of its new grilling supply store. The event features an Intermediate/Advanced Big Green Egg Cooking Class, short cooking demonstrations and great deals on grilling supplies for summer cookouts.

Founded in 2002, Dizzy Pig Barbecue Company’s Chris Capell saw the need for a line of unique and diverse products created with high quality, fresh, wholesome ingredients. The company took its rub recipes on the road to compete in Kansas City Barbeque Society-sponsored barbecue contests across the country, where they regular placed among the top ten in overall finishes and have won eleven grand championships. Today, Dizzy Pig’s 11 varieties of rubs include creatively named best-sellers, “Dizzy Dust” for chicken and pork, “Raging River” for salmon and “Cow Lick” for beef. All of Dizzy Pig’s seasonings are gluten-free and contain no MSG. Dizzy Pig’s manufacturing facility, where the whole spice ingredients are ground, hand-blended and bottled within days to ensure freshness, is co-located with the flagship grilling store.

Dizzy Pig’s seasonings can be found at over 400 local retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada, and are sold in the greater Washington, D.C. area through several Whole Foods grocery stores.
