11th Annual EGGtoberfest

October 17th & 18th, 2008

Pre-registration is required for EGGtoberfest!

This year EGGtoberfest will again be held at the Big Green Egg Corporate Headquarters in Tucker, Georgia. The Retail Showroom is part of the Corporate Headquarters and will be open for on-site purchases.

Meet and Greet / Friday, October 17th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Join us for a Meet and Greet on Friday Night. This will be a delightful evening with catered food, wine, beer and soft drinks. This is the perfect opportunity to fraternize with other EGGheads, catch up on old times and discuss the activities of the next day. See below for parking and shuttle information.

Registration for the Meet and Greet will be $25.00 per person or $35.00 per couple and registration is required.

Registration for the Friday night event will be closed October 8th or when we reach a capacity of 500 guests. Due to caterer deadlines, late registrations will not be allowed for the Friday night event.

EGGtoberfest 2008 / Saturday, October 18th, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Registration for EGGtoberfest will be $40 per person or $55 per couple, and there is no charge for children under 18. The registration fee will be waived for those attendees who are cooking (for everyone's enjoyment) their own specialties—which they provide at their own expense.

Registration for the Saturday event will be closed October 8th or when we reach 1500 attendees. Walk-up registration will not be allowed on the day of the event. Please register on time to avoid being excluded from the event as we have a limited amount of space and the number of attendees grows every year.

8:00am – Cooks’ check-in begins.     

9:00am – General check-in begins. EGGtoberfest ’08 begins with the lighting of the EGGs.           

2:00pm – Drawings for all the fabulous door prizes.     

3:00pm – All of the EGGs will be shut down in order to facilitate cooling and to get them ready for transport home with their new owners.

Food will be available all day as the dishes finish cooking on the EGGs. Soft drinks, water, and beer (over 21 only) will be provided.

Sorry, no pets allowed.

All events are outdoors; please bring the appropriate weather gear.

Parking

There will be no on-site parking of any kind allowed for Friday or Saturday’s events. This applies to all vehicles including RVs. No vehicles will be allowed in the Big Green Egg parking lot until after the event when it is time to pick up the demo EGGs.

Event parking will be at the Lakeside Centre Parking Deck located at 1967 Lakeside Parkway, Tucker, Georgia 30084. Shuttle buses will be running at regular intervals and will pick people up at the entrance to the parking deck (look for EGGtoberfest signs).

Shuttle Schedule   No alcohol is allowed on the shuttle buses

Saturday, October 18th / The shuttle buses begin running at 8:30am from the Lakeside Centre Parking Deck and the Comfort Suites Hotel. The last bus leaves Big Green Egg at 5:45pm.

The Courtyard Marriott Northlake, located at 4083 LaVista Road, Tucker, Georgia 30083, has rooms available for EGGtoberfest attendees.  You may contact them at 800-321-2211 or www.marriott.com

The group rate is $69.00 for one King bed and $74.00 for a two Queen Beds. You must ask for the EGGtoberfest block.  This rate is available until September 26th. A major credit card will guarantee your reservation. The shuttle will not pick up or drop off from this location, but you may park at the parking deck then ride the shuttle buses.

The host hotel for EGGtoberfest is the Comfort Suites Hotel Northlake, located at 2060 Crescent Centre Boulevard, Tucker, Georgia 30084. You may contact them at www.comfortsuite.com/hotel/ga.369 or 770-496-1070.

The group rate is $72.00 per room, and you will need to inform the reservations desk that you are part of EGGtoberfest. This rate is available until October 1st. A credit card will be required to guarantee the reservation. The shuttle buses will be picking up and dropping off from this location as well as the parking deck.

Demo EGG Packages

At the end of EGGtoberfest, EGG demo packages are available for purchase by registered EGGtoberfest attendees. These demo EGGs have been used only at EGGtoberfest, and each package will include:

• Big Green Egg (which includes an external temperature gauge, dual function metal top, stainless steel mesh draft door, DVD, and manual)
• EGG Nest (Chiminea Stand for Mini)
• Grill Gripper
• Box of Fire Starters
• Ash Tool
• 20# bag of Lump Charcoal

Demo EGG packages must be pre-ordered when you register. Only one EGG package per registered guest may be purchased.

• EGGs may be picked up on Saturday, October 18 between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. You can not take your EGG before that time. If you are taking your EGG on the day of the event, you must go through the pick-up line to receive your EGG. Remember, there will be a long line to pick up EGGs; this process will take a while, please be patient.
• As an option, you may pick up your EGG package the week following EGGtoberfest. EGG packages may be picked up between Monday, October 20 and Saturday, October 25 at the store at 3417 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, 30084. Pick-up hours are between 9:30 and 5:00. All EGG packages must be picked up by Saturday, October 25 at 5:00.

We cannot ship Demo packages.

Cooks

The registration fee for Saturday will be waived for those who are cooking (for everyone’s enjoyment) their own specialties — which they provide at their own expense. 2 people may register to cook on each EGG.

All Cooks will check in at a separate registration area. Please look for signs when you arrive. For those that are cooking, the buses will have cargo areas available to transport all of your coolers and other items that you bring. No Propane or MAPP torches are allowed on the buses. Cooks will be allowed to drop off their equipment in the unloading area beginning at 8:00am. The unloading area is located at 3417 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084. You may then return your vehicle to the parking area and return by shuttle; the first shuttle runs for cooks at 8:10am.
